As Chase and home coming warrior (btw who is this?) said I thought the main form of oppression was sexism. They talked about how it was hard to get rape charges to stick if the person was a friend. This is sexist oppression at the institutionalized level. There is no way that just because a girl invites you to their home that you can rape them. Its fucking ridiculous. Also it seemed that a number of them felt that they couldn't be themselves because they were afraid of being "a colored girl," because that meant you were a mean bitch. I actually didn't entirely understand this, how and when was bitch associated with colored? Perhaps because all the sexism went to their head they all seemed to have a low level of self esteem which led them to be in a number of unhealthy relationships, where the man would take advantage of them.
It goes to show that its important to have a good sense of who you are and what your worth. Everyone is an amazing some one and no one should be walked upon.
